July 16th

My wife's sister finally gave it her all fighting colon cancer, and passed away this afternoon. Will know what the plans are Sunday afternoon. Supposed to have a job interview Tues. morning-Weds drive to Toledo and back - Thurs. take my new dog (Doberman) to the Vets. All are now up in the air. I read some of the blogs, and am so proud of you guys working so hard. I am still just walking and watching calories/carbs. I am walking farther and faster, but the thought of jogging and doing stairs makes me dizzy! Hoping to be under 300 at the weigh in. Hot week ahead. Hope all of you are well.....and happy.

Not much time left. Doctor appointment today. He was impressed with what I have done the last 6 months. I was 388 last time I saw him. Now under 315. No meds needed. Hope all are well. A week and a half left! Good luck to you if you are in the JC Jog.

july 8th checking in

I think I hit my limit. Will still try, but I'm doing what I have been doing, and weight seems to be the same. That's ok. Will keep pushing, to get to my goal. Not enough money to join a gym, so it's walking and carb/calorie counting.

July 3rd/4th

Thanks to all the Vets. Past and Present. Did ok the past few days. Lots of walking, and watching the calories, and carbs. Worked a little in the garden. Cookout on the 4th, but I will behave. Will miss the potato/mac salads! Did have a Gentleman Jack on the rocks tonight! Couple job prospects too. Feel good physically, and that's rare for me. Take care, and good luck to all. We are into the home-stretch!
